Best things about Sunday morning walks to the Ferry Building with B: Blue bottle coffee and a sweet treat from Miette. I usually hand-pick a few macaroons (hazelnut being my favorite), but this time I opted for the old-fashioned bittersweet chocolate cupcake so moist and perfectly complimented with the light and fluffy Italian meringue. The red candy-coated peanut was disappointingly stale, but it's looks that matter, right? And the topping made this cupcake too darn cute to resist.
